1st day of the 4th cricket test at Headingley

Team update

England:
Andrew Flintoff (out) for Steve Harmison (in)

Australia:

Nathan Hauritz (out) for Stuart Clark (in)
Graham Manou (out) for Brad Haddin (in)

Well what a great first day of a cricket test match 14 Wickets and 298 runs. England won the toss and decided to bat first and what a shocker they had with the bat. Not much to say about the England batting they only survived 33.5 overs. The Australian bowlers had an impressive 4 man pace attacked and it paid off with Stuart Clark getting 3/18 and Siddle cleaning up the tail of the England's bats men for 5/21.

Then Australia came out to bat, Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson combined for a 119 run partnership. At the end of day one Australia are 196/4 with Clarke (34 runs) and North (7). My opinion is that Australia will be looking for around a 250 run lead on england before going back into to bowl them out. On the other hand England will need to quickly bowl Australia out and put up a quality batting score to have any chance of winning or drawing this 4th test match.
